Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim Receives Chairman Yan Shengjun and President Cao Debiao

From 18 to 20 June 2024, Premier Li Qiang visited Malaysia on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, and launched extensive exchanges with the Malaysian government on accelerating the construction of the China-Malaysia community of destiny and continuously deepening the cooperation in various fields, which achieved fruitful results. During this time, CNTY had an in-depth and detailed dialogue with the relevant parties on promoting our strategic layout in Malaysia.

On the morning of 21 June, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim cordially received Chairman Yan Shengjun and President Cao Debiao at the PM's Office. Prime Minister Anwar said that CNTY, as an industry leader, is welcomed to provide all-round support during the implementation of Malaysia's National Energy Transformation Roadmap and deeply participate in the implementation of Malaysia's national policies.

Chairman Yan said that Malaysia is an extremely important market for CNTY, and we will gather all kinds of high-end resources to promote the rapid landing of environmental protection and new energy projects in Malaysia, so as to help Malaysia's economic and social development.

During the trip, Chairman Yan and President Cao also met with the main leaders of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, the Malaysian Investment Development Authority, and the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and had pragmatic and efficient discussions on the landing of relevant projects. Mr Xue Yurui, General Manager of CNTY’s Overseas Business Department, signed a cooperation framework agreement in the presence of Mr Tengku Zafrul Aziz, the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry of Malaysia.

In the afternoon of 21st June, Chairman Yan and Vice President Xu Chengzhi paid a visit to Ambassador Ouyang Yujing in the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia. Ambassador Ouyang introduced the friendly relationship between China and Malaysia, analysed the bright prospect of investment in Malaysia, and affirmed the strategic vision of CNTY. Ambassador expressed his willingness to provide active assistance to CNTY's development in Malaysia.

CNTY's strategic layout in Malaysia has received strong support from various sectors of Malaysia. In the future, CNTY will rapidly promote the landing of projects and continue to push up the company's advantageous layout in Southeast Asia.
