Accompanied with the sound of firecrackers, the Spring Festival marks the grandest festival in China. At this celebratory moment nationwide, there is such a group of people who remain on their posts, be it early mornings, cold nights, or rainy days. They uphold their aspirations with concrete practices, to keep the city beautiful and clean during this special festival - they are the sanitation workers from Rudong Tianheng.

The bustling fireworks lighted up the festive ambience on the first morning in the lunar New Year, but also dotted the streets and alleys with a mess of firecracker confetti and paper ashes. As a result, sanitation workers were even busier. This year, nearly 1,000 Tianheng sanitation workers from projects county-wide stayed on their posts during the Spring Festival, and over 60 sanitation vehicles were deployed, including road sweepers, mist cannon trucks, classified waste collection trucks and waste compression trucks. Duties were assigned to specific persons with specific schedules, at a higher frequency of cyclic operations, to boost the operational quality and ensure rapid cleaning and transfer of waste on main and secondary roads, public toilets and rivers.

Meanwhile, operators timely adjusted operations according to weather conditions. On the New Year's Eve, mist cannon trucks shuttled across the streets and alleys, sprinkling and flushing on the main and secondary roads and key urban areas, to control dust pollution and improve air quality. Residents could thus enjoy a clean and tidy New Year's Eve.

On the morning of the first day in the Lunar New Year, Chairman of Rudong Jinheng, Wang Bidong, and his team came to Rudong Tianheng, to express appreciation to sanitation workers remaining on their posts. Their hard work and contribution to the clean environment were recognized, and such spirit of love and dedication was encouraged to be further carried forward for a more tidy and comfortable festival environment for the general public.

The mode of "integrated urban and rural sanitation efforts" has been adopted in Dayu Town, Qiaohe Town, Shuangdian Town, Yangkou Harbor and Changsha Town here in Rudong. Dayu Town Party Secretary Chen Yongqiang, Qiaohe Town Party Secretary Yu Weitao, Shuangdian Town Party Secretary Fu Xiaochun, and Changsha Town Party Secretary Tang Yadong, led their teams, respectively, to visit those front-line sanitation workers, affirming their past work achievements and dedication with special thanks to their contributions during the festival. They encouraged these workers to continue their hard work in the new year, to boost the environment cause to a new height, and wished them and their families a new year filled with joys, safety and health.

The Rudong Tianheng office building was filled of festive joys and vibes. People gathered together to exchange New Year blessings. General Manager Yang Jianyin, on behalf of the General Manager's Office, sent festive greetings and heartfelt wishes to department heads, and encouraged them to face up to any challenges with confidence and deliver projects with high quality and efficiency, so as to make new contributions to the company's modernized and high-quality development!

Red envelopes, symbolizing good luck and best wishes, were given to those remaining on duty, to express thanks and recognition from the company for their hard work. 

For most people, the Spring Festival is a time for family reunion. But for sanitation workers, they cannot stop their steps because our communities need these ordinary yet great people to stay clean and shining.
